Frequently asked questions

Why is there no sound?

The GIF format does not support audio.

The browser must decode and encode every frame; high settings can exhaust mobile memory or freeze the page.

Is the video uploaded?

No. Frames are captured from the local video and GIF encoding runs in a dedicated Web Worker.
