Direct Video Downloader
Inspect a public direct video-file URL, review type, size, Range support and final host, then save it from the source after confirming your rights.
What this tool does
Use this tool for public direct video-file URLs that you own, are licensed to save, are public domain or are openly licensed. It does not break platform, login, paywall, membership or DRM restrictions.
How to use it
- 1Paste a public direct video-file URL, not a normal watch page.
- 2Inspect HTTP status, MIME type, size, file signature, redirects and Range support.
- 3Review the preview and masked final URL.
- 4Confirm your lawful usage rights and edit the safe filename if needed.
- 5Stream to a chosen file when supported, otherwise open or download from the source server.
Support, privacy and limits
Only public HTTP/HTTPS direct URLs are supported. Browser CORS rules may prevent detailed inspection or progress. Playlist downloading, platform pages, authenticated resources, DRM and restriction bypass are not supported.
Frequently asked questions
Why can’t it download a normal video webpage?
A webpage is not a public media-file URL and may depend on login, signatures, a player or platform restrictions. This tool does not extract or bypass them.
What does a CORS error mean?
The source server did not permit the browser to read its response. The video may still open directly, but WebToolMint cannot verify type, size or progress.
Does the video pass through WebToolMint servers?
No. The browser connects directly to the source server. WebToolMint does not operate a video proxy.
